Assistant Manufacturing Manager – Indiana

Our growing manufacturing client, located in north central IN is seeking an Assistant Manufacturing Manager. The Assistant Manufacturing Manager will support the Operations Director in overseeing the manufacturing process, ensuring that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and meets quality standards. This role involves managing resources, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. This role is intended for succession planning for the Operations Director/Manufacturing Manager position within 5-6 years.

Assistant Manufacturing Manager Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and organizing manufacturing schedules.
• Evaluate project and resource requirements.
• Ensure that health and safety regulations are met.
• Determine quality control standards and oversee production processes.
• Supervise and motivate the manufacturing team.
• Organize relevant training sessions for staff.
• Monitor production to resolve issues and ensure continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with procurement, distribution, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide order scheduled completion dates to Customer services for communication with customers.

Assistant Manufacturing Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Management, Operations Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing supervisor and scheduling role.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
