Support Specialist

Payrate $21.00 - $22.00/hr. Summary You will be responsible for supporting financial institutions and government field offices using our asset verification systems. Your tasks will include answering emails, phone calls, inputting new users and reaching out to the financial institution network. This role is essential to maintaining strong relationships, ensuring smooth operations, and driving continuous improvement across our programs. Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for financial institutions, field offices, and agencies participating in AVS programs. Deliver training to financial institution personnel on system usage and procedures. Respond to inquiries via phone and email, documenting all interactions and resolutions. Promote and assist with the transition to automated processing methods. Recruit new financial institutions to participate in AVS programs when needed. Process registrations and manage updates to institution and user accounts. Meet contracted service level agreements, including FI Network Coverage, response times, etc. Assist with opening and sorting the mail in the Evanston office. Support additional departmental initiatives as assigned. Required Skills Experience is flexible - some experience preferred Education: High school diploma required. Typing Speed: Minimum 50 WPM. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; comfortable working with PCs and web-based applications. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to multitask and manage competing priorities. Organization: Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Work Ethic: Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and collaboratively. Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain SSA Security Clearance as a condition of employment (Full‑time employees). Pay Transparency The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is $21.00 - $22.00/hr. Non‑exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including relevant skills, education and experience.
