DYMC DAYTON MIX CENTERClick the link below to view DYFC and what you could be doing as an Equipment Owner.The starting base pay is $22.95, with an additional shift adder based on the shift you are interested in.Operations Schedule: This site operates continuously 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Scope of Work:Maintaining and troubleshooting automated equipment included but not limited to autonomous robots responsible for case, layer and/or pallet movementsPerforming preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipmentTroubleshooting, monitoring, & improving equipment and systemsAnalyzing trends and technical data to gain insights of the equipment and systems, and identify issues proactivelyBuilding technical skills in othersWork Hours:Able to work 12-hour shifts, schedules is a 2-2-3 bi-weekly rotation schedule. Shifts are assigned depending on business need. We cannot guarantee your preference of shift is what you will be assigned. Day shift is 6:00am-6:30pm and night shift 6:00pm-6:30am.Flexibility: Technicians will work rotating shifts.Overtime: Overtime may be required on weekends and/or holidays.Mechanically skilled technicians are being hired as skilled members of our warehouse operations teams. Mechanically skilled technicians are responsible for reducing equipment downtime, troubleshooting mechanical and systematic issues, eliminating defects, and building technical mastery. They focus on initiating and implementing continuous improvement projects with the goal of delivering the best product, at the lowest cost, with the highest quality, on time every time, and in a safe environment. They have mechanical technical mastery in order to successfully troubleshoot problems and to proactively improve production systems. Mechanically skilled technicians have the opportunity to become equipment area owners. This could involve creating processes and designs to improve their areas' performance.Job Qualifications:Requirements to Apply:Minimum of a high school diploma/GED & 2-years of technical experience in manufacturing or like industryApplied mechanical skills in an industrial environmentShould be knowledgeable about different types of machinery and equipment commonly used in manufacturing including various types of engines, pumps, compressors, conveyors, gears, bearings, and other mechanical components.Proficiency in using a wide range of tools and instruments is essential for a mechanical technician. They should be well-versed in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision instruments for tasks such as disassembly, assembly, measurement, alignment, and testing.System Integration: In addition to understanding individual components, a mechanical technician should have a grasp of how various components interact within a larger system. This includes knowledge of system integration, control mechanisms, automation, and interconnections with electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems. Understanding system behavior and interdependence is crucial for effective troubleshooting and maintenance.Strong technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, issue resolution, and root cause analysis for mechanical issuesInterpersonal and teamwork skillsSuccessful completion of a Technical Interview will be required as part of the application process.
