Job Title: Scientist Location : Rockville, MD, United States Type: Contract Schedule: Monday - Friday Day Hours Overview Biopharmaceutical company in Rockville, MD is seeking a Scientist to join their team. Responsibilities Perform cell culture media preparation to support bioprocessing experiments. Set up and operate bioreactors for various process runs, ensuring optimal conditions. Conduct process sampling and accurately record data for analysis. Analyze collected data to support process development and quality control. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support project objectives and maintain lab operations. Utilize robotic mini‑bioreactors, SCADA systems, and analytical instruments as part of experimental workflows. Participate in additional lab duties to ensure smooth operations and support innovation projects. Work on a rotational basis for weekend coverage, with potential for continuous weekend shifts. Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Cell Biology, Data Science, or a related scientific or engineering field (Graduate degree preferred). Hands‑on experience with mammalian cell culture and bioreactor operation. Experience operating bioprocessing equipment and aseptic techniques. Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and design of experiments. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced research environment.
