Legal Billing Specialist - 100% Remote

Location: Remote – Open to candidates nationwide Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire About the Opportunity We are partnering with a well-established national law firm seeking an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to join its growing billing team. This is a fully remote opportunity for someone with strong legal eBilling and insurance billing experience who enjoys problem-solving and working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with insurance carriers, managing deductibles, resolving billing discrepancies, and navigating complex client billing guidelines. Experience with Aderant is highly preferred, although candidates with Elite/3E experience and a strong insurance billing background will also be considered. Key Responsibilities Manage the legal billing process from prebill preparation through final invoice submission. Process electronic invoices and ensure compliance with client billing guidelines. Handle insurance billing, including carrier requirements, deductibles, and billing adjustments. Research and resolve rejected invoices, billing discrepancies, and outstanding billing issues. Track insurance deductibles and coordinate billing once deductible requirements have been met. Work directly with attorneys, internal billing teams, and insurance carriers to resolve billing questions. Review and edit prebills using legal billing software. Research unapplied credits and trust balances. Maintain accurate billing records and assist with monthly billing deadlines. Qualifications Previous legal billing experience within a law firm. Insurance billing experience is required , including working with insurance carriers, deductibles, and billing guidelines. Experience with Aderant is highly preferred; Elite/3E experience will also be considered. Experience within a labor and employment law firm is a strong plus. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment. Why Consider This Opportunity? 100% remote flexibility.
