Provides professional nursing services to accomplish the individual patient plan of care; independently and consistently using the nursing process to safely, therapeutically, and efficiently care for a full assignment of patients with subtle and sometimes unidentified needs. Supports the operations of the Alaska Native Medical Center and programs.

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
An Associate Degree in Nursing. Equivalent knowledge, experience, education, or training may be substituted for education. Must have participated in 30 hours every 2 years continuing education in nursing in general, 16 of which are in the specific area of practice.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Specific experience may be required for each work area.
MINIMUM CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION
Current registered nurse license in the State of Alaska.
Current Basic Life Support card required.
All other certifications as required for specific work area: New Employees must obtain the required certifications within six months of hire; New graduates must obtain the required certifications within 18 months of hire; Contract and MOA employees must come to us with the required training completed as outlined in their individual contracts/MOAs, and must be licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Alaska and remain active with all annual licensing requirements.
PREFERRED EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION
National certification is preferred.
