Job TitleData Analyst Internship – HalconAguas (San Antonio, TX)Job DescriptionHalconAguas is looking for an intern that will focus on analyzing our internal database of daily oil and gas operations. Our operations are focused on work inside of the oil and gas well. There are many different operations that take place inside the wellbore. The most prominent are clearing it of paraffin and scale, installing flow control equipment, and maintaining Artificial Lift. We record and code the data on the operations we undertake. Our intern will focus on data entry, data cleaning and then data analysis. We are open to all forms of analysis based on our intern's strengths. We expect the intern to make an internal (company) and external (client) facing hypothesis, test that hypothesis and then present results.Responsibilities:Support the management and organization of the company's internal database.Conduct data entry and ensure data accuracy through cleaning and validation.Perform exploratory and descriptive data analysis to identify trends and insights.Develop and test hypotheses relevant to both internal operations and client performance outcomes.Prepare and present analytical results and recommendations to company leadership and external stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications:Strong attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets.Interest in oil and gas operations, engineering, or energy systems.Experience with Excel, SQL, Python, or similar analysis tools is preferred.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Learning Outcomes:Interns will gain practical experience translating operational data into meaningful insights.Applying analytical methods in a real-world energy context.Presenting professional-level findings to technical and executive audiences.
