Job Summary

LJ’s Cleaning Solutions is seeking an experienced Assistant Supervisor to support daily warehouse custodial operations. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for assisting the Site Supervisor, coordinating the cleaning crew, performing quality inspections, and ensuring daily cleaning standards are met.

A current resume is required for consideration. This position must be the candidate’s primary and only job , as the Assistant Supervisor is required to be on-call.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Supervisor with daily custodial operations
• Organize daily assignments and delegate work to crew members
• Participate in team meetings and daily check-ins
• Monitor employee breaks and proper time-clock usage
• Perform quality inspections on completed work
• Train and support new employees
• Communicate professionally with HR, clients, management, and team members
• Use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and standard office equipment
• Assist with hands-on cleaning of offices, restrooms, and warehouse areas
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, and sanitize assigned areas
• Empty trash and assist with trash compactor duties
• Operate forklifts, floor scrubbers, and tuggers
• Assist with weekly freezer de-icing and reporting
• Ensure OSHA, SDS, and company safety procedures are followed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of management or supervisory experience
• 3+ years of custodial or industrial cleaning experience
• Previous warehouse or industrial experience
• Experience operating forklifts, floor scrubbers, and tuggers
• Forklift certification preferred
• Ability to pass E-Verify
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and SDS sheets
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in cold/freezer environments
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
