Job Overview A law firm seeks a Patent Agent with a background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering to join their Intellectual Property Team in Dallas, TX. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong academic and professional background who are eager to advance their careers in a collaborative and innovative environment. Duties Draft and prosecute patents, and conduct IP due diligence. Respond to office actions and manage client portfolios. Prepare, obtain, and analyze patent searches. Provide assessments on patentability, prior art, non-infringement, and validity. Engage in client counseling and licensing activities. Requirements 3+ years of experience in a relevant field. Registered to practice before the USPTO. Proven experience in an IP law firm. Superb writing and research skills. Strong academic record. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Certifications USPTO registration. Skills Experience with software development preferred.
