Base pay range $85,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions Recruiter at Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions A Global Food Manufacturing company is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager in the north Aurora, IL area. Responsibilities of Quality Assurance Manager : Review and maintain all Quality Assurance and Food Safety records, and other documents that pertain to GMP, HACCP, USDA, SSOP, and GFSI. Coordinate activities with regulatory agents such as the USDA Inspector, FDA Auditor, and customer Auditor. Develop and Implement HACCP plans for products. Work with the customer QA team and manage Product RECALL. Oversee inspection of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods. Initial and ongoing training of the employees on policies and procedures. Solve quality and food safety related problems. Organize, maintain all internal and external quality audits Adjust programs to conform with regulatory changes or internal modifications to ensure conformance is relevant. Investigate a product/process failure while minimizing downtime Ensure that operational and pre-operational sanitation is acceptable by developing the necessary verification activities. Requirements of Quality Assurance Manager : Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biological Science or related field required HACCP Certification required. Must have GFSI experience Must have experience with USDA and FSIS At least 3 years Quality Assurance exoerience in the food industries Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing the manufacture and distribution of goods. This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
