Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to laboring patients throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpreting fetal monitoring strips and escalating concerns as appropriate
• Assist with and support vaginal and cesarean deliveries in collaboration with the obstetric care team
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and oxytocin per protocol while monitoring patient response
• Educate patients and families on labor progression, delivery expectations, and postpartum care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
• Fetal monitoring competency required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with high-risk obstetric patients
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems in a hospital setting
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
