Job Requirements:

• Treats everyone with dignity and respect and encourages collaborative relationships with collegues, community providers, patients and family members. Consistently identifies ways to improve customer service and feedback while reducing customer/patient complaints.
• Regularly attends department meetings, Town Hall meetings and staff recognition events as appropriate. Actively participates in department, hospital, and facility committees.
• Assures timely compliance with job requirements which may include, annual FIT Testing, TB, Flu Vaccination, LMS, licensure and certification renewals.
• Identifies own educational needs and seeks appropriate learning experience.
• Adheres to facility and department attendance requirements.
• Keeps work area clean, organized and clutter free. Notifies Office Manager as appropriate.
• Ensures department has equipment and supplies necessary to provide consistent quality and service delivery.
• Reports any unsafe situations or safety hazards immediately. Labels and removes any malfunctioning equipment from service and notifies the Facilities Department.
• Participates in Emergency Preparedness Drills. Demonstrates through practice drills and upon request understanding of his/her role in the event of an emergency or disaster.

Under the guidance of the Director of Pharmacy and Clinical Manager

• Ability to create and manage staffing schedules in the best interest of pharmacy operations and patient safety
• Facilitate real time changes to staffing and assigned duties to achieve operational efficiency
• Assist Director and Clinical Manager with Employee Performance Evaluations
• Assist Director and Clinical Manager with regulatory compliance
• Assist Director and Clinical Manager with the creation and implementation of new processes
• Assist Director and Clinical Manager with pharmacy operations
• Mastery of pharmacy information systems such as Cerner, Pyxis, and clinical resources
• USP 795 / 797/ 800 Designated Person
• Oversee USP 795/797/800 compliance, training, documentation, Standard Operating Procedures and Policies
• Controlled Substance Record Keeping per Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and Corporate regulations
• Oversee Free Standing Emergency Department Processes and Procedures
• Oversee Downtime procedure, document upkeep and training
• Optimize Pharmacy Formulary, Pyxis, PAR levels, and identify opportunities for cost savings and medication safety
• Assist Clinical Manager in developing pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure medication quality and safety
• Assist Director and Pharmacy Buyer in managing pharmacy budget
• Assist Clinical Manager and Pharmacy Buyer with drug shortage plans and communications

* Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) from a ACPE accredited school.

* Active Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Florida

* Board Certifications by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties is a plus

* Pharmacist Consultant License

* Minimum of 3 years of professional-level pharmacy experience in a hospital or acute care setting.

* Prior scheduling experience of 15 or more employees * Proficiency in sterile compounding (USP <797>), hazardous drug handling (USP <800>)

* Familiar with CDPH, Joint Commission, DEA, and Board of Pharmacy requirements for Acute Care Hospitals
