Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week assignment. This position requires expertise in providing high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit.
- Monitor patient vital signs and condition, and document all relevant patient information.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while ensuring patient safety.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and care plans.
Shifts
This position primarily involves day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with the flexibility to accommodate specific scheduling requests.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred; may be obtained prior to start.
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting is required.
Travel Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a permanent residence located more than 50 miles from the facility.
