Telemetry Technician - Mixed Cardiac/Tele and Neuro/Stroke Unit

Hourly Pay Range: $19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Telemetry Technician - Mixed Cardiac/Tele and Neuro/Stroke Unit
• Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126
• Full Time: 36 hours per week
• Hours: 7pm-7am (4-5 weekends in a 6 week period) and rotating holiday track
• Required Travel: no

What You Will Do:

Under general supervision, monitors cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry of patients to detect abnormal pattern variances via telemetry equipment. Notifies nursing and/or medical personnel according to established procedure. Performs clerical related duties as necessary.

What You Will Need:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred Certification: EKG Certification
• Experience: Minimum three months of previous healthcare or monitor tech experience.
• Must pass initial and ongoing competencies.
• Unique or Preferred Skills:
• Experience monitoring rhythms of anywhere between 50-70 patients
• Experience with Philips Monitoring System
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
