This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into supporting the needs of Stanley Black & Decker both in the US and abroad. The interns will gain first-hand exposure to Stanley Black & Decker and have the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network. Interns are expected to adapt to change and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, and confidence. Interns must be team-oriented and collaborative.**The Job:**During your internship, you will have the opportunity to support **Industrial Designers** with key activities including:* Assist in developing adaptable parametric surface models for new products using CATIA.* Support the team in utilizing data reuse techniques to enhance efficiency and quality.* Learn and follow 3D modeling best practices.* Help manage 3D CAD data using a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.* Contribute to multiple projects, providing support as needed.* Help ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.You will have exposure to several areas of **Industrial Design 3D SURFACING** at Stanley Black & Decker. You will work on a wide variety of tasks and projects with a cross-functional team of professionals.**The Person:**The ideal **Industrial Design 3D SURFACING** intern candidate will have the following qualifications:* Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.* Familiarity with 3D CAD systems and an interest in surface creation (experience with CATIA is a plus; training will be provided).* Strong aesthetic sense and ability to translate 2D sketches into 3D models.* Basic understanding of design for manufacturing.* Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.* Self-motivated with a positive attitude and good time management.* Ability to work well within a team and balance multiple priorities.**The Details:**This position will provide you with:* A utility role interacting with key members of a Fortune 500 company.* A flexible schedule featuring a max of 40 hours.* Opportunity for career advancement upon graduation.* Competitive compensation and career development opportunities.**Industrial Design 3D SURFACING** internships are available in the following locations:* Valley City, OhioThe base pay range for this position is $22.00- $27.00 per hour.
