Practicing within a Commission on Cancer (CoC)-accredited comprehensive cancer program, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized, evidence-based, and compassionate care for patients across all stages of urologic cancer.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and treat disorders and cancers of the urinary tract and male reproductive system, including prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular malignancies.Perform advanced procedures such as radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy, and cystectomy, often utilizing minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques to enhance precision and recovery.Interpret diagnostic imaging and lab results related to endocrine disorders.Develop and manage pre- and post-operative care plans.Work closely with oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and primary care providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case reviews.Maintain accurate and timely documentationEnsure adherence to surgical safety protocols and institutional policies.Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, risks, and recovery expectations.Stay current with advancements in urological oncology through continuing education.Mentor residents, fellows, or junior staff as applicable.Participate in clinical trials or research initiatives aimed at improving surgical outcomes and techniques (if applicable).Participate in tumor boards, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.RequirementsBoard certified/eligible in Urology at time of employmentSuccessful completion of a residency programSuccessful completion of fellowship accredited by the Society of Urologic OncologyCurrent licensure in Washington State by the time of employmentDEA, NPI & prescriptive authorityCurrent BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart AssociationWhy MultiCare Cancer Institute?Patient-centered care – Our oncology specialists, nurse navigators and support teams guide each patient with compassion, clarity and seamless coordination through every stage of their cancer journeyMission-driven impact – We're dedicated to delivering high-value, personalized cancer care that truly makes a difference for the individuals and communities we serveExcellence at every level – We uphold rigorous standards for quality, safety and clinical expertise to ensure the best outcomes for our patientsValues you can feel – Respect, integrity, kindness and collaboration shape how we care for patients — and how we support one another as caregiversPacific Northwest lifestyle – Work and live where natural beauty, adventure and strong community connections are part of everyday lifePay and Benefit ExpectationsWe provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $560,000.00 - $625,000.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
