Infusion Nurse - Outpatient Infusion Suite

Position Per Diem Infusion Nurse – Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) The Woodlands, TX Responsibilities Provide direct patient care administering IVIG, biologics and other infusible or injectable medications as ordered. Deliver appropriate patient education. Complete comprehensive nursing assessments. Establish and maintain peripheral and central venous lines, including PICC lines, implanted ports, and midlines. Ensure efficient and timely submission of clinical records. Prepare and administer medications. Triage infusion patient inquiries. Travel to other locations on occasion. Demonstrate excellent patient assessment and interpersonal skills. Provide clear communication and collaboration to optimize patient care and clinic operations. Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance care delivery and quality. Adhere to safety and infection control standards in patient care delivery. Manage required AIC documentation. Clean and disinfect all patient care areas in the AIC. Manage AIC supplies and inventory. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of and compliance with all policies and procedures related to job duties. Schedule Per Diem, 16 hours per month, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm. No weekends or holidays. Must have knowledge of and experience with IV access devices, including IV lines, ports, and infusion medication administration. IVIG infusion experience preferred. Must be licensed as an RN in Texas. Requirements Current RN licensure by the applicable state’s Board of Nursing, in good standing. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution. Preferred: Advanced certification in specialty areas of practice (e.g., CRNI, ONS, IgRN) but not required. Minimum three years of nursing experience with a background in infusion therapy. Current nursing license for the applicable home state. Responsible for administrative oversight, including monitoring workflows, ensuring policy compliance, and managing resources to meet organizational objectives. Emergency availability to respond promptly to emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Preferred: Experience in ICU and/or cardiac care. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Valid state‑issued driver’s license with no significant restrictions.
