We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager in the Hollister, Missouri area to oversee and coordinate all aspects of our shipping/receiving and logistics operations. This pivotal role involves managing warehouse distribution, transportation planning, freight management, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management, warehouse operations, and shipping logistics, with a focus on optimizing efficiency, reducing costs, and maintaining high standards of customer service. This position offers an excellent opportunity to lead cross-functional teams and implement process improvements that enhance overall supply chain performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving activities within the warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Coordinate procurement activities related to shipping materials, packaging supplies, and transportation services.
• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to plan routes, schedule shipments, and monitor delivery performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis on shipping delays or discrepancies and implement corrective actions to improve processes.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors, carriers, and suppliers to optimize pricing and service levels.
• Maintain compliance with international trade regulations and trade documentation requirements.
• Analyze data using tools such as Tableau, SQL, Excel data analysis, and spreadsheets.
• Collaborate with procurement teams on sourcing strategies and category management to ensure cost-effective and timely transportation.
• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives within warehouse operations and logistics workflows.
• Ensure safety standards are adhered to during manual handling and mechanical operations involving forklifts or other equipment.
• Foster strong communication across departments and supply chain analytics.

Skills

• Extensive experience with warehouse distribution, inventory management systems, and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), ERP platforms such as AS400 or equivalent, and supply chain analytics tools like Tableau.
• Strong data collection skills complemented by analysis expertise using SQL, Excel data analysis, and spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing, vendor management, pricing strategies, contracts, and trade compliance.
• Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment like forklifts.
• Excellent negotiation skills coupled with category management experience to optimize costs.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis for process improvement initiatives within shipping logistics.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
• Experience practicing in a supply chain operations role with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations relevant to global shipping logistics.
