Position Overview

As a Field Sales Representative, you will serve as the primary relationship manager for growers within your assigned territory. This is a boots-on-the-ground, relationship-first role focused on helping farmers improve profitability through practical agronomic solutions and strong personal relationships.

Approximately 85% of your time will be spent working directly with growers in the field, at the farm shop, or at the kitchen table learning about their operation and helping them make informed decisions.

You will work alongside experienced agronomists, precision agriculture specialists, and research teams to develop customized:

  • Seed programs
  • Crop protection plans
  • Fertility recommendations
  • Precision agriculture strategies

This is not a “sit behind a desk” sales role.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Building

  • Develop strong relationships with growers throughout your territory
  • Become a trusted advisor for customer operations and agronomic decisions
  • Conduct regular farm visits and provide in-season support
  • Deliver responsive, high-level customer service

Sales & Business Development

  • Grow market share for seed, crop protection, fertility, and precision agriculture programs
  • Identify and develop new customer opportunities
  • Execute strategic sales plans within assigned territory
  • Utilize solution-based selling to improve grower profitability
  • Build long-term customer loyalty and retention

Agronomic Support

  • Assist growers with practical agronomic recommendations
  • Work closely with Titan AG agronomists and research teams
  • Support on-farm trials and demonstration plots
  • Communicate product positioning and performance in relatable, farmer-focused language
  • Stay informed on agronomic trends, technologies, and competitive products

Territory Management

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting and reporting
  • Manage expenses and marketing investments responsibly
  • Assist with account collections and financial awareness
  • Represent Titan AG professionally at trade shows, grower meetings, and industry events

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience
  • Minimum 2 years of agricultural industry experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Competitive mindset and strong work ethic
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel throughout assigned territory

Preferred

  • Agronomic understanding of row crop production systems
  • Experience in seed, crop protection, fertilizer, or ag retail sales
  • Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) certification
  • Experience with precision agriculture or on-farm research
  • Proven history of business development and territory growth
