Travel RN – Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Neuro Progressive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage and monitor stable post-stroke and stable neuro-surgery patients
• Care for telemetry and overflow medical patients within a 5:1 patient ratio
• Utilize Cerner EHR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Float as needed to Medical, Telemetry, and Neuro units per facility requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PCU, Neuro, or a related specialty
• Experience with neuro-medical stroke patients, neuro-orthopedic surgical patients, and telemetry monitoring
• Proficiency with Cerner EHR
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify as a travel candidate
• Must be available to start on one of the designated facility orientation dates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a progressive care or step-down setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and overflow medical patient management
• Experience floating across Medical and Telemetry units
