Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Float Pool. This position involves providing high-quality care across multiple surgical and medical units. Our healthcare setting focuses on delivering total patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.Unit InformationFloat Pool: Med/Onc, 2 surgical units, and 2 medical unitsTotal Beds: 128Patient Care Assistants: Not available; RNs provide total careTelemetry: Limited to occasional strip readingsPatient DemographicsCommon diagnoses include surgical services in colorectal, hepatobiliary, bariatric, general, and orthopedic surgery, as well as medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, COPD, kidney, and gastrointestinal conditions.Experience and QualificationsBasic medical/surgical nursing experience is requiredExperience in a large hospital environment is preferredFirst-time travelers will not be consideredRequired certifications: BLS (American Heart Association)Role ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care for patients in a variety of medical and surgical settingsCollaborate with the healthcare team to deliver optimal patient outcomesPerform routine patient assessments and monitor vital signsAbility to troubleshoot basic respiratory equipment; respiratory therapy assistance is readily availableMaintain effective communication with patients and their familiesShifts and SchedulingStandard shifts: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.Weekend requirements: Every other weekendHoliday requirements: No holiday shifts mandatedFloating to any Med/Surg pod may be requiredOrientation and TrainingEmployees will receive unit-specific orientation to ensure they are adequately prepared for their role.Charting SystemThe facility utilizes Cerner for charting, with a transition to EPIC planned for November 2026.Other InformationThis position does not require RNs to titrate drips or read telemetry strips, as this will be managed by the tele monitoring team.LocationLocated in City, ST.Client Details Address 2 St Vincent Cir, Little Rock, AR 72205 City Little Rock State AR Zip Code 72205
