Diet Aide

Job Details Location: Baywood Court – Castro Valley, CA 94546 Salary: $20.28 per hour Shift: PM Shift – Fridays through Tuesdays, 10:45am to 7:15pm. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Position: Full‑time Diet Aide Key Responsibilities Gather menus and necessary supplies to set up tray line for meal service. Serve Assisted Living and Health Center residents. Read resident menus without error and distribute appropriate condiments, drinks, and meal selections. Serve hot foods hot, cold foods cold. Assemble and deliver trays according to therapeutic diet guidelines to designated areas within the Health Center and/or Assisted Living. Provide table service to all residents in the Health Center and/or Assisted Living dining room. Replenish and restock all paper goods, condiments, milks, juices, dishes, linens, and other supplies as needed for meal service. Qualifications Ability to read, speak, and write in English; must communicate effectively and follow oral and written instructions. Proficient in basic math, including measurements and conversions. Must be able to stand and walk throughout the workday. CPR certified or able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire; Baywood Court will pay for the CPR class. Required to pass a drug screening, physical examination with tuberculosis skin test, and background check through FBI and Department of Justice.
