This role coaches and guides a diverse team of frontline associates, driving daily operations with precision and purpose—from staffing and workflow management to real-time problem-solving on the floor. This position is the backbone of distribution operations, setting the tone for teamwork, accountability, and inclusion.Responsibilities:Lead from the front by coaching and guiding a diverse team of frontline associates to achieve performance goalsSet the tone for teamwork, accountability, inclusion, and a culture of continuous improvementProvide daily direction, motivation, and support to ensure equivalent requiredMinimum 1+ year in a leadership role within operations, logistics, or supply chainExperience in distribution or warehouse environments is a major plusStrong planning, organizational, and team development skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to lead diverse teamsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesProblem-solving abilities with sound judgment and decision-making skillsProficient in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office SuitePhysical ability to walk distribution floors, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs as neededAbility to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs requireAdditional Qualifications, Preferred:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent work experience)2-3 years of supervisory experience in distribution center or warehouse operationsExperience in furniture, retail, or manufacturing distributionKnowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management principlesLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)Understanding of OSHA safety regulations and warehouse safety best practicesExperience with labor management systems (LMS) and engineered labor standardsBackground in process improvement methodologies including Kaizen and 5SBilingual skills (English/Spanish) to support diverse workforceWork Environment:This position is located in an active industrial manufacturing and distribution center with moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and material handling equipment in operation. The role may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
