House Supervisor (RN) Full-Time Nights

Overview Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital (a UHS Facility) is a 144-bed behavioral health facility offering full continuum inpatient services, specialized programs for adolescents, adults, older adults, and 24‑hour behavioral health assessments. The facility also provides co‑occurring behavioral health and substance use programs and a robust outpatient program of group, family, and individual therapy. Position Summary The House Supervisor (RN) is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policy, goals, and objectives. This role assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and performance improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff. The House Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of the nursing staff, patients, and patient care during their shift. The House Supervisor works closely with the Intake and Admissions Department regarding patient admissions, discharges, and transfers during their shift. Responsibilities Ensure coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards. Supervise nursing staff and patients during shift. Collaborate with Intake and Admissions on patient admissions, discharges, and transfers. Qualifications Education: Minimum associate degree in nursing or BSN from an accredited program. Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility preferred. Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the MI State Board of Nursing. Additional Requirements: Understanding of The Joint Commission, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. Must have current CPR certification. Shift: Full‑time night shift (7 p.m.‑7:30 a.m.) with weekend and holiday rotation.
