Anesthesia Specialist

Role Overview Provides support for anesthesia department by managing supplies, drugs, and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and maintenance. Assists with troubleshooting and minor repairs of anesthesia equipment, supporting perioperative activities, patient transfer, and room readiness. Key Responsibilities Maintains and troubleshoots anesthesia equipment and supplies in operating rooms. Assists with patient transfer, positioning, and room setup for procedures. Supports efficient case turnover by organizing supplies, opening sterile trays, and stocking equipment. Collaborates with staff and supply chain to monitor inventory, order supplies, and explore cost-effective alternatives. Prepares anesthesia supplies and drugs daily, ensuring OR readiness. Performs non-nursing tasks such as cleaning, errands, and stock maintenance. Qualifications And Skills High School diploma or GED required. Proficiency in troubleshooting anesthesia equipment and basic surgical environment knowledge. Two years of recent perioperative experience preferred. Computer skills for equipment troubleshooting and inventory management.
