Job Description:\n\nJob Description – Coach (Part- Time)\n\nClassification: Non-Exempt \nManagement Level: N/A \nReports to: Head Coach \n\nSummary/Objective \n\nThe Coach is responsible for delivering scientifically designed Orangetheory Fitness workouts within AFG HoldCo studios while creating a high-energy, motivating, and results-driven member experience. This role requires the ability to effectively coach and engage multiple members in a group fitness setting while maintaining strong time management, communication, and motivational skills. The Coach confidently represents the Orangetheory Fitness brand by delivering exceptional coaching experiences, fostering meaningful member relationships, and supporting member retention and engagement. This role partners closely with the studio team to contribute to sales and retention goals, maintain a welcoming and inclusive studio environment, and ensure a seamless member experience before, during, and after classes. The Coach must possess a well-rounded understanding of fitness principles, including endurance, strength, and power training, and effectively utilize Orangetheory programming, technology, and coaching tools to optimize member performance, safety, and results. The Coach reports directly to the Head Coach.\n\nEssential Functions \nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. \n\n· Deliver an engaging, high-energy group workout experience for all members each class session.\n\n· Provide a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating experience for all members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring every interaction reflects brand standards of Orangetheory Fitness.\n\n· Accurately complete and maintain all required member documentation and records using company systems and tools.\n\n· Participate in scheduled team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.\n\n· Conduct studio tours, clearly communicate membership options, and confidently respond to questions regarding programs and services.\n\n· Partner with studio team members to create a seamless, positive experience for prospective and current members.\n\n· Support achievement of individual and team sales goals through outreach, follow-ups, and lead generation activities that drive membership growth.\n\n· Build relationships within the local community to increase brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.\n\n· Support marketing initiatives, including social media engagement and participation in community events and studio activations.\n\n· Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented studio environment in alignment with company standards.\n\n· Communicate effectively with members and prospects across multiple channels, including in-person, phone, email, and text.\n\n· Accurately process sales transactions, including cash and credit card payments, with integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.\n\n· Respond promptly and professionally to member inquiries, feedback, and concerns, escalating issues when appropriate.\n\n· Understanding of and commitment to exceptional customer service and the core values at AFG HoldCo.\n\nCore Competencies \n\n· Teamwork – demonstrates positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.\n\n· Efficiency Orientation – gets the most out of limited resources while achieving quality results.\n\n· Flexibility – responds to changes and others’ ideas comfortably. Excellent people skills.\n\n· Ability to manage unexpected challenges with a calm and professional demeanor.\n\n· Results driven and possess exceptional problem-solving skills.\n\nSupervisory Responsibility \n\nThis position does not manage a team.\n\nWork Environment \n\nThis role is primarily based in a fitness studio environment and involves frequent interaction with members, guests, and team members. Responsibilities are performed both at the front desk and throughout the studio floor, requiring extended periods of standing, walking, and engaging with others in a dynamic, high-energy setting. The environment may include moderate to loud noise levels due to music and group fitness classes. The role also includes administrative tasks such as working on a computer, using phones (communication with internal and external customers), and other standard office equipment. Occasional participation in offsite events or community activities may be required.\n\nPhysical Demands \n\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. This position requires frequent standing, walking, and moving throughout the studio, as well as regular interaction with members and team members. The employee is regularly required to communicate effectively, including talking and hearing in a potentially loud environment. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The role may occasionally require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items such as retail products or supplies (up to approximately 25–30 pounds), as well as bending, reaching, and light cleaning tasks to maintain the studio environment.\n\nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work \n\nThis is a full-time position.
