Field Applications Engineer (FAE)Our client, a global leader in electronic interconnect and connectivity solutions, is seeking a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to support key enterprise and consumer electronics customers.This position serves as the primary technical interface between customers, sales, product development, and product marketing teams. The FAE will help customers identify and implement interconnect solutions across applications including servers, storage, data centers, networking, power, memory, and internal I/O systems.The ideal candidate combines strong engineering knowledge with excellent customer-facing and communication skills.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the technical engineering resource throughout the sales cycle, including technical discovery, solution design, prototyping, qualification, and productionWork closely with customers to understand system requirements and recommend appropriate connector, cable assembly, and interconnect solutionsSupport product design-in activities across applications including power, memory, storage, servers, networking, and internal I/OPartner with sales and product teams to identify new opportunities and drive design winsPrepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and engineering discussions with customersDevelop application-specific technical materials and customer-facing documentationRespond to customer technical inquiries and troubleshoot product/application issuesCollaborate with internal engineering and product development teams to translate customer requirements into technical solutionsSupport competitive analysis and help develop technical strategies that differentiate products and solutionsManage multiple customer programs and engineering projects from initial engagement through productionTravel periodically to customer and engineering/manufacturing locations in the U.S. and AsiaQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline2+ years of experience in Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, Field Applications Engineering, or a similar technical roleExperience with electrical hardware components, connectors, cable assemblies, or interconnect solutionsExperience supporting customers through product evaluation, design-in, qualification, and productionDemonstrated ability to provide technical support that contributes to customer adoption and design winsPreferred SkillsStrong understanding of electronic hardware and interconnect applicationsExperience supporting server, storage, data center, networking, or consumer electronics productsProficiency with mechanical modeling/design tools such as Creo or SolidWorksStrong customer-facing communication and presentation skillsAbility to communicate effectively with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and senior customer contactsStrong project and program management capabilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPointAbility to work independently while coordinating across global engineering, sales, and product teams
