Responsibilities
- Serve as the OR circulator, preparing the operating room, draping patients, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures.
- Manage intraoperative activities, including instrument and equipment readiness, counts of sponges/sharps, and room turnover between cases.
- Pull and prepare next-day cases, verify case carts, check for outdates, and coordinate with circulating nurses to ensure timely case progression.
- Handle urgent and emergent cases as needed, communicating clearly with anesthesia, surgeons, and PACU staff to optimize patient safety and flow.
- Document perioperative care, maintain patient positioning safety, and ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the OR team to provide high-quality patient care, facilitate smooth handoffs, and advocate for patient safety throughout the perioperative period.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Ohio (or eligibility to practice in Ohio)
- OR nursing experience required
- Ability to work 7:00 pm-7:00 am, 3x12-hour night shifts
- Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the assignment location
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent preparation for perioperative nursing
