Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

This position involves working in a medical-surgical setting with a focus on general medicine. The nurse will be responsible for providing care for a variety of patient conditions, including GI bleeds, COPD, CHF, diabetes complications, ESRD, dementia, TIA/stroke, A-Fib, hypertension, and sepsis. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6, ensuring manageable workloads for staff. Ancillary support will be available, including lab draws, EKG technicians, and nursing assistants. Charge nurse responsibilities may be required, with appropriate pay differentials and training provided. The nurse will need to demonstrate flexibility, including the ability to float to sister campuses as needed. All team members are expected to contribute to a supportive culture, especially when working with students and new hires. The nurse must be prepared to work during major holidays. Cerner experience is preferred.
