Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapy Assistant provides supportive rehabilitation services under the supervision of licensed physical therapists. They assist patients in recovering mobility, strength, and functional activity through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from illness or injury.
• Observe and document patient progress during therapy sessions accurately.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure necessary equipment is sanitized and ready.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to enhance recovery.
• Collaborate with the therapy team to modify plans based on patient responsiveness.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and clinic policies at all times.

Qualifications:

• Hold an approved licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Demonstrate proficiency in therapeutic techniques relevant to patient care.
• Possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
• Show commitment to patient confidentiality and professional ethics.
• Have previous experience working in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or similar settings preferred.
• Be able to stand, lift, and assist patients with mobility as needed.
