The U.S. Navy has launched a pilot Direct Procurement Enlistment Program (DPEP) for Hospital Corpsman / Dental Hygienists , offering advanced paygrades and a fast-tracked path to service.
This is a limited pilot program designed to make Navy service competitive with civilian dental hygiene opportunities.

Advanced Enlistment Paygrades
- E-4 for CODA graduates (non-licensed)
- E-6 for state-licensed Dental Hygienists ( Paygrade applies regardless of prior work or supervisory experience )

Minimum Requirements
- Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from a CODA-accredited program
- Normal color perception; vision correctable to 20/20
