About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Center Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 18 months License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC Must-Have: Airway management and RSI knowledge, cardiac drips, codes, CVA and STEMI management Description: 60-bed facility. Level 4 Trauma facility. Stroke-ready facility. Patient types include post-surgical, CVA, sepsis, pneumonia, trauma, etc. Trauma Level III, MI, pediatrics, and obstetric emergencies are encountered. Patient ratios are 1:4. Support on the unit includes 2 ED techs from 1100-2300 and an LPN from 1500-0300. Charge nurse may carry a patient load. Phlebotomy is part of the responsibilities. IV/VAT Team available during the day with US-guided IV trained RNs in the unit. Resource nurse is the charge nurse. Respiratory Therapy is present. Clientist is available 24/7. Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy services provided. Charting system is electronic medical records. IV pumps and medication dispensing systems are utilized. Floating is not required. Weekend rotation is every other week. Time off can be approved. There is no on-call requirement. Expectations include working every other holiday. Scrub color is navy blue. Free parking available.
