Lead Java Developer with Camunda or Flowable BPM

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Lead Java Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and Business Process Management (BPM) tools such as Flowable BPM or Camunda BPM. As a Lead Java Developer, candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and leading scalable enterprise-grade applications, mentoring development teams, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas, TX is $125k - $135k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices. Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems. Develop and integrate workflow/process automation solutions using Camunda BPM or Flowable BPM. Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Drive best practices in software design, coding standards, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines. Lead technical discussions, provide architectural guidance, and mentor junior and mid-level developers. Design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party/internal systems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues with root cause analysis. Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and security. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, design discussions, and retrospectives. Work closely with DevOps and QA teams for smooth release management and deployment automation. Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and frameworks. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Strong hands-on experience with, Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture and REST API development Experience with BPM/workflow automation tools such as Camunda BPM and/or Flowable BPM Strong knowledge of Hibernate / JPA, SQL / NoSQL databases, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar Experience with API Gateway, Service Discovery, Circuit Breaker patterns, and distributed systems concepts. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Strong understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and secure coding. Experience with version control tools like Git. Preferred Skills Certifications in Java, Spring, Camunda, or cloud technologies Experience in domains such as Banking and payments.
