RN - NICU

Registered Nurse - Level 3 or 4 NICU

Night shift, 7 PM - 7 AM

The competent Nurse, practicing independently in a similar clinical setting, demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. This role involves providing routine and complex care, with a keen ability to meet long-range goals and plans while developing the capability to manage various clinical contingencies.

Utilize nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.

Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.

Administer medications and treatments following protocols, while monitoring for side effects and the effectiveness of treatments.

Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.

Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

At least 1 year of experience in NICU nursing preferred.

Current BLS certification required (AHA only).

Current NRP certification required.

Current STABLE certification required from a recognized course.

Active RN License in the state of TX or compact.

This is a 13-week contract position.
