Role : Database Administrator
Location: Chandler - Arizona
Duration: Fulltime

Key Responsibilities

MongoDB Administration
Install configure upgrade and maintain MongoDB databases across environments Dev Test Prod Ive an opxperience Viva Engage Hello Everuirements Viva Engage
Monitor MongoDB performance replication and availability
Perform regular backups and restore operations logical and physical and validate recovery procedures
Implement security best practices including authentication authorization and rolebased access
Troubleshoot MongoDB issues related to performance connectivity replication and storage
Collaborate with application teams to optimize schema design and queries
MySQL Administration
Install configure and maintain MySQL databases
Execute database backups restores and disaster recovery procedures Backup ands in MySQL Viva Learning
Monitor MySQL performance capacity and availability
Perform database tuning indexing and query optimization
Manage users privileges and data security
Handle upgrades patching and routine maintenance tasks
Backup Restore DR Management
Design and maintain backup strategies for MongoDB and MySQL
Conduct regular restore testing to ensure data recoverability
Maintain documentation for backup restore and DR processes
Support audits and compliance requirements related to data protection
Monitoring Support
Monitor database health and proactively address issues
Participate in incident management root cause analysis and preventive actions
Provide oncall or production support as required
Maintain operational documentation and SOPs

Required Skills Qualifications

5 years of experience in MongoDB andor MySQL database administration
Strong knowledge of backup restore and recovery strategies
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
Handson experience with monitoring and troubleshooting production databases
Familiarity with LinuxUnix environments
Basic scripting knowledge Shell Python or similar is a plus
Strong problemsolving and communication skills

Preferred Skills

Experience with cloudmanaged databases eg MongoDB Atlas AWS RDS
Exposure to high availability replication and disaster recovery setups
Knowledge of compliance and security best practices
