Overview
Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Templeton, CA. Start date: 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Weekly pay: $2,345–$2,357 per week. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to obstetric patients across labor, delivery, and recovery phases; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret fetal heart tracings, and respond to changes with appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and assist with procedures within scope; coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team.
- Document in the electronic medical record and communicate clearly with physicians, anesthesia, and support staff; participate in rounds and handoffs.
- Support the labor and delivery team using the LDRP model of care; educate patients and families, promote evidence-based practices, and ensure safety and comfort.

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- BLS and ACLS certifications; NRP required within 6 months of hire or transfer
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required on hire and every two years; AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring for novices within first 6–8 months
- Current EPIC experience
- At least 2 years of recent RN experience in the field; obstetric/L&D experience preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and participate in a rotation as needed
