The City of Bend is accepting applications for one (1) regular, full-time Facilities Day Custodian in the Facilities Division of the Real Estate, Facilities and Housing Department. This is an hourly, non-exempt (overtime eligible) position represented by the City of Bend Employee Association (COBEA). The following duties are a sample of major duties performed in this role and not intended to be an exhaustive list.

• Provide great customer service.
• Restock restrooms and kitchen.
• Clean common areas such as Intersection (dining area), restrooms and other common areas.
• Conference room setup for larger events.
• Occasionally assist Facilities Technicians with preventative maintenance tasks
• Maintain and order inventory for night shift janitors.

We are seeking a self-motivated, dependable professional who thrives in an independent work environment. The Day Custodian role requires strong attention to detail, ensuring all spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. The ideal candidate communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, and takes pride in delivering excellent service to staff, visitors, and the community. Highly qualified applicants will bring prior janitorial or custodial experience, along with familiarity of Microsoft Excel and a strong customer service mindset.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; AND
• 1 year experience in a similar position and/or performing similar tasks OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

• Current and valid Driver's license per City policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Ability to obtain CJIS certification within 6 months of employment.

• Basic comprehension of Microsoft Office 365 Suite
