BLS & ACLS certifications required before start date. 1 year of recent experience in a hospital or LTAC setting. High school diploma or equivalent. Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate respiratory function and determine appropriate treatment plans. Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and ventilator management. Operate and monitor advanced equipment such as ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP machines, and other respiratory devices. Manage airway procedures confidently, including intubation assistance and airway clearance techniques. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and trauma centers to optimize patient outcomes. Monitor vital signs and interpret physiological data to adjust treatments effectively. Provide education to patients and families about respiratory conditions, medication administration, and self-care strategies. Skills Extensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology, and medical terminology related to respiratory health. Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, or Level I/II trauma centers. Strong skills in airway management and ventilator troubleshooting. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately in inpatient and outpatient settings. Familiarity with hospital protocols for acute care and geriatrics populations. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Experience working with pediatric and geriatric patients in diverse clinical environments such as clinics or hospital wards.
