Lead the heartbeat of our McDonough, GA plant

Ken’s Foods is growing, and our McDonough, GA operation needs a seasoned Maintenance & Reliability Supervisor to keep production moving without a hitch. You’ll own the continuity of facility operations, manufacturing lines, and all supporting systems—while developing a high-performing team in a fast-paced food environment.

A day in your role

Morning starts with a safety-focused huddle. You walk the floor, check critical utilities (steam, hot water, compressed air, refrigeration), and review overnight CMMS activity. A packaging line flags a controls fault—your team isolates a PLC network issue and you coach through root cause, pulling up electrical and pneumatic schematics to verify. Before lunch, you’re approving work orders and POs, balancing inventory of critical spares, and mapping out predictive tasks for servo controllers and robotics. The afternoon is about people: conducting ride-alongs to sharpen troubleshooting technique, aligning on quality and productivity targets, and planning improvements to lift line efficiency.

What you’ll own

• Serve as a core member of plant leadership, championing Safety, Quality, and Productivity across a food manufacturing environment.
• Continuously assess equipment and support-system performance; recommend and execute upgrades or process changes to improve efficiency.
• Coach technicians on advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of plant systems; build capability for their next step.
• Oversee performance and conduct—proficiency, adherence to policies, and professional standards—and provide feedback, recognition, and corrective action as needed.
• Expand Preventive and Predictive Maintenance practices across all machinery and facility systems to drive reliability.
• Leverage the CMMS for end-to-end maintenance execution: work orders, purchase orders, inventory control, and equipment history.
• Diagnose and repair control systems, including PC/PLC/HMI communications and plant-network issues.
• Apply advanced electrical expertise across power distribution, motor controls, variable speed controllers/VFDs, servo controllers, and robotics.
• Troubleshoot automated packaging equipment operations with depth and confidence.
• Resolve issues on process equipment—pumps, valves, meters, and mixers—with thorough systems knowledge.
• Handle hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting with a solid working knowledge.
• Maintain and repair utilities and facility systems: steam, hot water, compressed air, and refrigeration.
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.

Team leadership

You will directly supervise Maintenance Department employees and, in alignment with company policy and applicable laws, lead interviewing and hiring, training, work planning and assignment, performance evaluations, rewards and discipline, and the resolution of complaints and issues.

What you bring

• Proven ability to perform the full scope of essential maintenance leadership duties in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong technical breadth across controls, electrical, packaging automation, process equipment, hydraulics/pneumatics, and facility utilities.
• Comfort reading complex schematics and using a CMMS to manage maintenance execution.

Education & Experience: Associate’s degree (A.S.) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Technology; or a combination including 2–7 years of experience in a manufacturing plant within food, beverage, or consumer goods.
