CT Technologist – New York ($52.04–$62.88/hr + $15,000 Sign On Bonus)

Facility: Regional hospital providing comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, trauma, and emergency imaging services.

\n

Shift: Evening shift Monday–Friday with alternating weekends and holidays Scheduled hours: 4:30 PM–12:30 AM Additional shift options may be available upon request.

\n

Job Summary: This role performs high quality CT imaging within a busy hospital environment, ensuring proper patient positioning, protocol adherence, and accurate documentation. Responsibilities include producing diagnostic CT images, assisting physicians during procedures, performing equipment QA and calibrations, maintaining cleanliness of work areas, and reporting equipment issues. The technologist processes images, manages PACS/RIS tasks, answers phones, checks prior reports, and coordinates patient transport. Additional duties include on call, holiday, overtime, and cross shift coverage to maintain safe departmental staffing. The role requires strong communication, adherence to hospital behavioral standards, and the ability to care for patients across all age groups. Knowledge of department protocols such as Stroke Program/Code Gray and contrast administration is essential.

Requirements: High school diploma required; allied health certificate or accredited radiography program required Associate degree preferred ARRT (R) required; ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CNMT) accepted Documented CT training and radiation physics/protection experience required NY DOH Radiology License or Limited Permit required upon hire NY DOH IV certification preferred; required within 180 days BLS required within 90 days Radiation dose pledge (Image Gently/Image Wisely) required during orientation Advanced CT certification required within 1 year 2 years of experience preferred Ability to perform QA, calibrations, assist physicians, and manage emergency procedures Proficiency with EPIC, RIS, PACS
