Commissioning And Protocols Support Professional

As the Commissioning and Protocols Support professional, you will be on a dynamic team, supporting Team Submarine where you will support an active contract with the U.S. Navy. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare and route internal and external correspondence.
  • Track and update each ceremony with a matrix.
  • Track and update ceremonial dates.
  • Gather and then disseminate VIP guest lists.
  • Coordinate and set-ups meetings/appointments/conferences with other commands as needed.
  • Track various internal/external taskers, and folders.
  • Maintain awareness of ceremonial milestones.
  • Facilitate milestone planning by preparing, reviewing, and updating tracking materials, documentation, and program schedules.
  • Travel to ceremonial site and support COMSUBLANT Protocol Officer.
  • Assist in last minute details of the commissioning ceremony.
  • Assist the Commissioning Support Team (CST) meetings, and reviews for relevant stakeholders, ensuring that locations, phone, and video teleconference lines are properly booked for use; scheduling speakers; developing and providing meeting materials (e.g., agendas, presentations and displays, etc.); and tracking action items as needed.
  • Provide after action report to PMS450.
  • Other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • An active or current DoD Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's Degree. An Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree or a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
  • 10 years of similar/related experience.
  • Ability to understand and succinctly summarize, communicate, and document technical issues.
  • Ability to use a variety of software products (e.g. MS Office, MS Outlook).
  • Skills sufficient to perform a wide range of executive, managerial, and administrative support responsibilities and duties.
  • Knowledge and understanding of agency structure, organizations, programs, missions and functions sufficient to provide support in the planning, development and coordination of the management and administrative activities of the office.
  • Proficient in preparing, selecting, organizing, and presenting information concisely.
  • Excellent interpersonal and administrative skills to meet needs of the program office.
  • Ability to facilitate and coordinate efforts with key government and non-government stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must work well within a time sensitive environment.
  • Must be able to travel 10% of the time.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Knowledge of NAVY shipboard and submarine systems, and DOD acquisition programs, preferred.
  • Sharepoint expertise preferred.
  • Experience working in DoD or DoN environments is preferred.
  • Former Navy public affairs specialists encouraged to apply.
