Job Description - General Labor for Commercial Asphalt - Spencer Quarries Incorporated General Labor for Commercial Asphalt At Spencer Quarries Incorporated, we are seeking an energetic and dedicated individual to join our team as a general laborer for our Commercial Asphalt division. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the asphalt crew in various construction-related tasks. We are an EOE employer, and a pre-employment drug screen and physical are required. Pay: $24 / hr This is a full-time construction season position with full benefits: Health Insurance Dental Insurance 401(k) Vacation & Sick Leave Life Insurance Holiday Pay Overtime Pay after 8 hours a day, not 40 hours a week Cell Phone Reimbursement Uniforms What to Expect Hours are usually 10+ hours per day, 5 days a week, with rare Saturday work Some travel required in the Southeast area of the state Overnight stays are suggested but not required depending on the job site Responsibilities Provide general construction labor support to the asphalt crew Assist in the preparation, installation, and repair of asphalt surfaces Operate hand tools, shovels, and other equipment as necessary Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment Requirements Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions Strong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced team members Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record #J-18808-Ljbffr Commercial Asphalt by Spencer Quarries Incorporated
