Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery unit, providing specialized maternal and neonatal care. The role involves managing patient needs within a fast-paced hospital setting during designated night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, postpartum, and well-baby periods.
• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physicians' orders and regulatory standards.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid state nursing license, with multi-state licensure preferred.
• Require recent experience in Labor and Delivery, ideally within the last 2 years.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications via AHA.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using EPIC EMR systems.
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• Be prepared to float within hospital departments as needed.
