Staff Accountant

A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This position plays a key role in supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting fundamentals, manufacturing experience, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed asset records, including project tracking, monthly depreciation entries, general ledger reconciliation, and audit-ready documentation
• Support cash management activities including daily transaction reporting, electronic payments and transfers, accounts payable review, and cash flow analysis
• Assist with month-end close activities including costing, inventory analysis, adjustments, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Prepare recurring reports such as weekly inventory and sales reports, brokerage commissions, and state/product board registrations and reporting
• Assist with internal and external audits by gathering documentation and responding to audit requests
• Participate in special projects, reporting, and financial analysis as needed
• Serve as backup support for other accounting team members
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy across accounting operations
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience preferred, ideally within a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP required; IFRS knowledge preferred
• Software: Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel proficiency, required

Pay: $55,000 – $65,000/year + bonus potential

Type: Full-time, 1st Shift, On-Site

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
