Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse in Birthing Unit

• Providing high-quality nursing care in the labor and delivery unit
• Monitoring and recording patient vital signs
• Assisting with childbirth and providing postpartum care
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care

Requirements of the Registered Nurse in Birthing Unit

• Active RN license
• 2 years of experience in labor and delivery with circulating experience
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications, and recent intermediate EFM required
