Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine

VCA Valley Animal Hospital & Emergency Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine Department. Location: 4984 E 22nd St, Tucson, AZ 85711 Schedule: Full-Time, 5x8-hour work week Salary: $16-$23 / hour. Salary varies based on education, experience, & current AZ CVT license (includes scale for licensed & unlicensed Veterinary Technicians). Skills that our Veterinary Technician in Internal Medicine utilizes, but are not limited to: Physical examinations, patient assessment, and collecting patient histories Processing laboratory samples in-house Preparing laboratory samples for outside labs Managing medical records, reports, and correspondence Assist with Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology, Ultrasound, CT Scans) Assist with patient recovery Pharmacy Venipuncture/catheter placement Knowledge and experience with chemotherapy drugs and safety protocols Safe animal restraint and handling Strong multi-tasking skills Effective verbal, listening, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with team members of all hospital services At VCA Animal Hospitals, we offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, pet care discounts, paid vacation, holidays, and sick days, and health and well-being programs that provide resources and training.
