Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Location: Ohio

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift, 3 - 12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience. The ideal candidate will possess a permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand. Candidates must also hold a current American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certification. Additionally, candidates are required to obtain NIHSS certification before the start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients on a Med/Surg telemetry unit.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, initiating any necessary interventions.
• Administer medications and manage treatment plans as directed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Document patient care and progress using the facility's charting systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 18 months of permanent Med/Surg telemetry experience.
• Active Ohio nursing license or compact state license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification required prior to start.
• Two recent managerial references from the specialty applying for.
