Purpose; Scope of Responsibility:

Under the direction of the Maintenance Engineer, and/or Maintenance Manager, this position installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures as well as pipe and electrical systems. This requires the following specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings. It also requires the use of hand tools to repair, as well as test machinery and equipment to inspect and ensure proper functioning of machines.

Responsibilities:

•Ensure compliance with appropriate safety policies and procedures.

•Install, repair, maintain, diagnose and troubleshoot machinery and systems including but not limited to: Pneumatic systems such as compressors, dryers, boosters, RFL’s, air cylinders, poly lines and quick connect fittings. Hydraulic systems such as rebuilding pumps and cylinders, crimping hoses, servo valves, solenoids, and transducers. Steam systems such as general boiler operations, proportional valves, steam traps, PRV’s, gas ignitors, high temp DA pumps, temperature and pressure gauges and sensors.

•Must be a team player.

•Enter all time daily into the Computerized Maintenance Management System.

•Gather material lists, perform safety prework walkthroughs and work with production to execute assigned tasks.

•Take initiative and participate actively in problem analysis and complete RCA sheets for all downtime work orders.

•Perform mold/product changes and adjust recipe settings.

•Apply problem solving skills to reduce the consequences of failure.

•Create improvement proposals and execute tasks resulting from improvement proposals.

•Complete administrative tasks using the Computerized Maintenance Management System.

•Support operators by providing training.

•Responsible for applying her/his maintenance experience and competence.

•Responsible for responding to and resolving maintenance tasks in a timely manner.

•Actively troubleshoot maintenance issues and tasks to ensure proper and timely resolution.

•Perform duties as assigned.

Education/Background/Experience:

•High school diploma or GED plus technical training equating apprenticeships

o Or Two-year associate degree.

o Or 5 to 7 years’ experience in a maintenance function in a manufacturing setting.

o Or a combination of the above.

•Any experience with tier 1 or tier 2 automotive suppliers a plus.

•eMaint CMMS is a plus

•Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Environmental Factors:

Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift. Bend, stoop, push, pull, and twist. May work in awkward positions. On occasion may lift up to 60 pounds. Valid driver’s license.
