Registered Nurse Medical Unit Full Time Night Shift

Overview The Village at Victory Lakes, Lindenhurst, IL. Weekend differential $3.00 per hour. Sign‑on bonus (Full‑Time only): $3,000. Full‑time and part‑time shifts available. Position Summary Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day‑to‑day nursing activities performed by certified nursing assistants, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Direct daily activities of certified nursing assistants and resident care associates. Follow the nursing model to promote holistic care. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Participate in admission, discharge, and transfer of residents. Assess changes in residents' status, notify physician and family, and document. Transcribe physician orders, carry out orders, and prepare/administer medications as prescribed. Perform wound treatments and observe for changes. Schedule follow‑up appointments and transportation as needed. Provide nursing leadership and direct care skills such as colostomy changes, tube feedings, wound care, suctioning, IV administration, etc. Conduct rounds to ensure resident needs are met and staff duties performed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members. Report incidents or unusual occurrences to leadership. Maintain adequate stock of medications, supplies, equipment, and notify personnel of needs. Initiate, review, and update care plans. Participate in survey and QAPI activities. Follow infection control principles and correct deficiencies. Report abuse, neglect, misappropriation, exploitation, or mistreatment of residents. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and updates. Education A nursing degree from an accredited college or university. Licenses and Certifications Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state. Experience 1+ years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics. Skills and Abilities Ability to demonstrate compassion when working with residents.
