Job Description

As a Security Officer Manufacturing Facility in Redford, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use technology to document observations and report concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing and logistics location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout manufacturing, warehouse, parking, shipping, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
